Despite the rain which started pouring at the Rizal Stadium at the start of the first half until midway through the second, everyone was in high spirits.

Organizers said around fifteen thousand people watched the game. We heard some vuvuzelas at the bleachers. The Kaholeros were in full force.

The two teams had very good defense. Sri Lanka's goalkeeper went down and suffered a slightly injury/cut.

After many attempts, the Azkals were able to make a goal down 19 minutes in the 1st half. Chieffy Caligdong scored for the Philippines 1-0. Aggregate score was 2-1 in favor of the Azkals.

Stephen Schrock got 2 yellow cards. He will not be allowed to play in the next game of the Azkals against Kuwait.

Phil Younghusband scored for the Philippines, stretched the lead to 2. Cameras captured actress Angel Locsin jumping for joy. Azkals on aggregate was 3-1. Down by two, the game commentators said the away team needed more effort to salvage the game.

Gerardo Valmayor scored off a pass from James Younghusband. Azkals led by 3; aggregate 4-1 in favor of the Azkals. Phil Younghusband scored off a penalty kick, Azkals led 4-0; aggregate 5-1 with sixty two minutes gone.

Ali Borromeo picked up a yellow card. He is going to miss the match vs Kuwait. Huge development for the Philippines there. Then Caligdong was feared to be injured, but the referees didn't give the penalty. He went out of the game temporarily at 73 minutes gone. Caligdong checked back in after a while, although he got substituted again 2 minutes after.

James Younghusband and Ian Araneta had several tries each but didn't make them. Eighty six minutes gone. Sri Lankan player got his 2nd yellow card, been given the red. Sri Lanka down to 10 men on the field.

Azkals vs Sri Lanka game result - final score at fulltime: 4-0; aggregate 5-1. The Philippine Azkals will play against Kuwait in the next round.

The Azkals dominated Game 2 and had a very excellent performance on Sunday, a great day for Philippine sports. Congratulations!

Robots that should have been part of 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon'

The Transformers universe started when Hasbro released the “Transformers Generation One” animated series in 1984.
Up until 2007, the Transformers series has gone through various changes, both in terms of plot and character development.

But the basic characters remained like Optimus Prime and Megatron. Bumblebee, Ironhide, Starscream, and Soundwave were among the mainstays though later variants of the Transformers series, particularly Transformers “Unicron Trilogy”, had differently named characters that were based from the originals.
In the latest Transformers movie by Michael Bay, there were numerous comments regarding the robots that were present. While most of them were familiar to fans of the series, there were hopes that certain characters would be present.

Here are a few Transformers characters that were hoped to be part of the latest film:
Grimlock – The only other Autobot that could go head-to-head with Optimus Prime in any media (including the comic books). The leader of the Dinobots was popular for his often brutish yet gentle attitude. He is also popular as a robot that transforms into a Tyrannosaurus Rex, which in itself is an iconic creature on its own.
Wheeljack – In TF3 (Transformers 3), an Autobot named Que served as a stand-in for Wheeljack, who was the inventor in the original series. But Wheeljack, who transforms into a Lancia Stratos Turbo, was just as capable a fighter as everyone else in the original series. Que in TF3 never fought back and was killed off.

Omega Supreme – The inclusion of that unidentified worm-like drill bot of the Decepticons should have been matched by the presence of another big robot on the side of the Autobots – Omega Supreme. There were comments in some online TF forums who wished that the rocket the Autobots used in TF3 would transform into Omega Supreme, who is originally a rocket base for the Autobots.
Rumble – This human sized Decepticon was among the most talkative of Soundwave’s “tape” warriors and is the most commonly used robot to literally shake off the Autobots during battle. If Rumble was present in the movie, there wouldn’t be a need for that worm-like drilling robot that Shockwave was using as a weapon and as transport.

Combaticons – While the “combiner” robots that formed Devastator in TF2 were all but destroyed, the Combaticons would have made the invasion of earth in TF3 more believable. The Combaticons are a group of five Decepticons who transformed individually into war machines, such as a tank, anti-aircraft truck, a Black Hawk chopper, a Space Shuttle, and a jeep. They were actually more tactically better than Devastator.
Blitzwing – Of the three Decepticon “triple changer” Blitzwing was the most popular. Blitzwing transforms into a tank and then into a jet fighter, which would be most effective during battles.

Unicron – For the sake of scale, the planet-sized Unicron would have been the most massive enemy in the movie. In fact, the plot in the film could have included him as the master manipulator (and not Megatron) who forces Sentinel Prime to use the Pillars to transport him near earth (take note that Prime stressed Cybertron was already destroyed). If he became part of the movie, Unicron would probably be the biggest battle in the silver screen.
